Milei sent to Congress the State Reform

This Friday, President Javier Milei sent the message to the National Congress informing the call for extraordinary sessions with a short agenda but of great institutional importance: the state reform law the project to impose the single paper ballot replacement of the general lists for the elections for national positions and also the reversal of the reduction in Income Tax for the majority of workers that Sergio Massa had promoted in the electoral campaign. The first of the three initiatives is part of the package of deregulations and economic reforms prepared by the team led by the former head of the Central Bank Federico Sturzenegger and which this week drafted the mega decree that the President signed.

The project approved in Deputies establishes that the elections will be carried out with a single paper ballot that contains the name of the candidates of all the groups that appear in an election. The voter will be able to choose and mark the candidate they prefer on that ballot. , which will be shared by all parties and alliances. In this way, parties will no longer have to print and distribute their own ballots and the number of party prosecutors needed to control elections will be reduced.
