Member of a family of agricultural owners, with a more or less comfortable position, this broom holder followed a short military career, in which he reached the position of 2nd Sergeant of the Militia. After getting married he settled in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where his children were born and he obtained a position as a doorman at the Public Works offices of the province,
Later becoming an orderly at the Forestry Headquarters. Furthermore, he was an owner and taxpayer, both for rustic and urban wealth. He was born in the El Escobonal district (Güímar) on September 24, 1848, the son Email Marketing List of Don Juan Benigno Díaz Pérez and Doña María Silveria Tejera García. On September 27, 1848, he was baptized in the church of San Pedro Apóstol de Güímar by Don Agustín Díaz Núñez, Dr. in Sacred Theology, synodal examiner, cured beneficiary of said church and its annexes and vicar ecclesiastical judge of the aforementioned town and its game;

He was named “José Domingo” and Don José Domingo Marrero, from the same neighborhood, acted as godfather. His paternal grandparents were Don José Antonio Díaz Díaz and Doña Dominga Pérez Elías y Guanche, both of Guanche origin; and the maternal ones, Mr. José Antonio Texera and Mrs. Ana Joaquina García, all born in El Escobonal…
