Sometimes it happens that you have to intervene for expansions or problems even on buildings built by others. Before joining OTO you were a freelancer. What does it mean to be a developer in a web agency? Unlike working as a freelancer, working in a web agency means being in close contact with colleagues (pandemics permitting), an aspect that facilitates collaboration and dialogue both in work and non-work terms. The other side of the coin is given by the greater constraints related to sharing itself and company rules. Overall, I prefer the more collaborative work that takes place at OTO Agency compared to being a freelancer. How do you manage the relationship/collaboration with the other areas of the agency, especially with the more creative area? Is it true that you and the graphic designers are enemies? Since the front-end work is essentially made up of the implementation of layouts created by graphic designers, it is clear that their activity directly determines the complexity of the work of front-end developers.

I imagine that is why there can be some friction, when the explosive reviewb creativity of the graphic designers leads to designs that complicate the work of the devs. Personally, I do not encounter significant problems, having a good dialogue with the graphic designers in OTO Agency and therefore being able to agree on how to move during the projects we follow together. What are the aspects that you appreciate most about your profession? And, instead, what are the dark sides (to quote one of your favorite sagas)? I especially like the initial phase of building websites , the one in which the basic settings of the functional and layout aspects are made, probably because it has a particularly favorable relationship between the amount of work done and the functional and visual result perceived as a consequence. Less appreciated is the work on the details where the impact on the result is reduced, but the time invested can be large.

The darker side is related to investigations when problems and unexpected events occur. Due to the complexity of the software used by websites and the amount of components involved, there may be a wide range of possible causes and a long and complex search is necessary to find the element to act on to resolve the situation. At OTO you are also known as the “problem solver” of the team  What is the biggest and most complicated (IT) problem you have solved in your DEV career? Luckily for me, at OTO Agency the problems that are more complex for me tend to involve aspects that other devs in the agency have more experience with, so in such cases I can count on their intervention or at least on some tips. Previously, when I worked without this advantage, I had websites built by other developers that were in very problematic conditions and deserved a complete redesign.
